Theatre Arts Parent Support (TAPS)TAPS is an all-volunteer organization of GHS parents and community members who support the Guilford High School Theatre Arts program through:
VOLUNTEERS: We provide parent volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks, including box office, chaperones, costumes, flower and refreshment sales, publicity, tech week support, and more. FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Using income from membership and fundraising activities, we provide financial assistance to enhance programming that falls outside of GHSTA's operating budget. TAPS has purchased equipment, funded workshops, sent students to theatre festivals, and more. We also offer confidential scholarships to help cover added expenses (additional costuming, field trip fees, etc.) All funds raised by TAPS are invested directly into the theatre program. Membership starts at $40; our goal is to get 100% support from GHSTA families. Thank you! When paying online, please indicate it is for TAPS membership and make sure to note how you want your name listed in the Playbill. One of the many educational components of the theatre program is to provide a safe and welcoming culture where students learn to self-advocate. Please encourage your kid(s) to email teachers directly. The more they engage, the more they will get out of the program.
If you have questions, please direct them to Cara Mulqueen-Teasdale ([email protected]) for performance, and to Nick Ripa ([email protected]) for anything related to tech (which is everything other than performance). See Meeting information tab for details on meetings. |
